My dog is an x-stud dog and he wears belly bands pretty much all of the time now. I did just buy a baby onesie and I put a pad in there for him to wear at night. It's a lot looser than his belly band so I figure it's more comfortable for him. I thought about putting him in an exercise pen at night with pee pads down, but he sleeps in bed with me and I am sure he'd miss that.
I've also thought about taking his belly band off and tethering him to me here and there. If he's tethered to me, he can't sneak off to pee and it gives him a break from his belly band.
BTW, if you are using belly bands to keep your pups to from breeding, it's not 100% foolproof. Someone came on here a few months ago with a pregnant dog because of a diaper slip. A friend of mine also had 2 dogs breed through cages...so you have to make sure the female can't get anywhere near your males cage.
The only pen I can think of that would have solid sides so if they lift their leg it doesn't go out is a plastic air crate. It would be easy to hose out as well. I put my boys in a big exercise pen and I put pee pads down with towels underneath and around the edges when I am gone. It gives them plenty of room to move around and my floor is protected!! My boys, typically don't chew things up, although one time, Ricky did tear up a pee pad. I think I might have forgotten to put one of his toys in with him though...
