So the pen needs to be waterproof and easy to clean/disinfect.

Any ideas of what I can line these pens with? What do you other breeders do with your boys? Do you leave them in their bands ALL of the time?
Hi! I have 2 male dogs. Not studs, but they're boys too The only thing I do is put down pee pads everywhere in their pen. They each have their own pen. My pens have a plastic tray as well (under the pads) so if anything leaks through or around a pad, I can remove, sanitize and be done.

Every dog is different and some hate and will tear up the paper pads. I know someone who uses cloth pads. Then they can hose them down outside to get the excess off and throw it in the sanitize cycle of the washer. For waterproofing (protecting the floor) they use heavy duty contractor/painter plastic and lay that under the pens so the pens lock it down and there aren't any edges to pick at.

I personally get a little paranoid about the dogs digging at the plastic and eating it. It works for her dogs, not for mine. Everyone has their 'thing'.

Hope this helps and that you're able to find the solution that best fits your needs
