I took her to the vet this past Friday. I'm wondering if she could have picked up something. I will be taking her to the vet, I'm sure.

Dry skin, allergies and itching....all the perfect environment for a staph infection. It is VERY common in allergic pups. I would call the vet now before it spreads..and it will spread. Not trying to scare you as it is not deadly but she will need antibiotics to get rid of it if it is staph.
