Hi guys,

I had a yorkie (love of my life!) for 14.5 years. I adored him and miss him every single day, but he was never really the lap dog I had hoped for. He always wanted to be near us (laying by our feet), but really hated to be held and slept at the foot of the bed. I'm looking for a new puppy and want to get another yorkie, but i'm wondering if in general they tend to be independent and not cuddlers or if that was just my experience.
So, a few questions:

1. Is your yorkie cuddly and what you would call a lap dog?
2. If so, what sex is your dog and do you think that makes a difference?
3. How old was your yorkie when you got him/her?

I've also been told that when a yorkie is mixed with a maltese (morkie), they do tend to be more of a lap dog. Thoughts?
