I know my gym has personal trainers and I've been working with one for over a year now, 3x a week. I know what we pay for the sessions does not go to the trainer, only a VERY small portion of it, so the schedules are brutal (clients at 5am, and clients at 8pm on the same day) plus weekends, the pay stinks (we had 3 different trainers in less than a year, who all left because they just didn't get enough pay). But our trainer now, he LOVES it, of course he's only 23 and fresh out of college, I don't know how he'll feel in 10 years. I think it's a labor of love, you are certainly not going to make a lot doing it but if you love it, you'll enjoy it and a little extra cash won't hurt!
