I have never done it for any of my 3 and they've never had any issues bc of it. Also, hair does have some purpose in the ear, just like the hair in our ears has a purpose...so I personally don't believe in doing it. If you feel you must, just don't pluck it so there is no hair...the hair is there to protect the ear and to catch foreign particles.
