I know many people who've gotten wonderful dogs off of Craigslist. I don't mean puppies being sold by backyard breeders, but people who are rehoming their pet. Most people will try to rehome on their own before they bring a dog in to a shelter. Also, word of mouth. Tell everyone one you know, & post on YT about what you're looking for.

a brother preferably I just want to make sure and go the right route in finding a new baby. It was just by luck that Charlie came through someone I knew (they have since moved out of state) Petfinders did not have any babies that I thought were right for us nor were they close to our home,
