If he's scratching quite a bit, it could be some sort of an allergy. Did you recently switch foods or anything, where the scratching started following it? Or new treats?

The pollens are bad right now, so it could be enviro. But usually w/ enviro, they will chew/lick their paws - is that happening as well?
