We have an appointment with a dermatologist next week. Wish us luck so that we can figure out what's bothering my giant itchy Yorkie. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
Yes it sure does. At first I thought it was fleas or bug bites I waste a bunch of $$$ and time at the vet with anti-biotics, flea meds then come to find out it was simply the food I've been giving him. I had no idea as I'm new at this back in 08 when I first got them as puppies 8 weeks old.

I never imagined how food can do such damage cause I thought dogs can eat pretty much anything except for things like chocolate, grapes, etx.

Can you tell us what you're feeding him? When I switched to grain-free kibble from Pedigree & Royal Canine... the itching, the nasty crusty bumps, the odor all went away nearly immediately.
