Yes, it could easily be bc he ate it SO fast like that. Sometimes, it's just too much all at once and some dogs are more sensitive to gobbling than others. If you want to keep feeding wet, maybe spread the found around the edges of the bowl and put a golf ball in the bowl to slow him down a bit.
