Can she file a lawsuit against you? Sure, anyone can file anything they want, but can she win ? Not if your story is true, as the truth always wins. I would not let her intimidate you like that. You can threaten her with harassment especially after your emotional situation she has made you go through. I would fight fire with fire with an person such as this. |
IF she files suit against you...which would be a BIG "IF," take all of your documents to court with you. I personally don't think she'd have the balls to file suit because SHE is not going to want to be put under a microscope and have her shady behavior exposed. She's just trying to scare you into silence. I bet it's worked before so she thinks she can do it again.
Her suing you would be like Kmart suing someone for complaining that the lines are always too long...or Burger King suing someone when they talked about how they found a hair in their food. You BOUGHT a puppy from her, therefore you are a consumer of her business and you have a right to share your experience about her. It would be one thing if you were spreading a bunch of lies, but you are talking about your experience.
If I were you, I'd keep shouting about her from the rooftops!! What you are doing is obviously working if she contacted you and she asked you to stop. Hopefully it does negatively effect her business. Hopefully people will hear your story and they will think twice about buying one of her sick little pups. I hope that she's no longer able to rip anyone else off.
Speaking of, did you fill out a rip off report? I'd definitely do that. Perhaps you could also call the humane society in your/her area. I am sure they'd love to hear about he breeding program.
