The only reason you would have to worry is if what you said was not true. It's only slander or defamation if untruths are told to intentionally hurt someone's business, or if you made some kind of confidentiality agreement with her in a settlement. If your story about your pup is the truth, you have absolutely nothing to worry about, as she would not be able to get any kind of judgement against you for giving honest customer feedback. That is what all those review sites and such are for. If I had a pup that was sick or died after I purchased it, you can bet I would warn others. Don't let her scare you into silence, she has probably used this threatening tactic in the past and its worked so she continues.
Can she file a lawsuit against you? Sure, anyone can file anything they want, but can she win ? Not if your story is true, as the truth always wins. I would not let her intimidate you like that. You can threaten her with harassment especially after your emotional situation she has made you go through. I would fight fire with fire with an person such as this. |
