My daughter, who is also a yorkie owner, just purchased a Chocolate Lab. She took her to the vet and he said that she has "slow blink response" in one eye. Her name is Riley and when she is tired or just wakes up her eye will roll back. My daughter's vet said that she could send her to a specialist. I talked with my vet and he said that it could be a sign of mental retardation. My daughter has only had her for a few days and is in LOVE with her. She(my daughter) did say that Riley sat back and didn't play like the other pups but she seems to be smart.

Has anyone heard of this? Any information that anyone has would be greatly appreciated. My daughter has NO intention of trading her in for another puppy. She made her choice with Riley and will keep her no matter what. My daughter's heart is aching as mine is for her.
