Congrats on your soon to be puppy lol. Be sure to post pics whenever you get some. Breeders that are members of YTCA advocate keeping pups until at least 12 weeks...not all breeders are members and not all members are reputable. Different strokes different folks I think. Just make sure you're prepared whether you get him/her at 8 weeks or 12. I would have Nutrical, xpen, crate, pee pads, cat collar w/bell, good food (no fillers), good shampoo, brush/comb, toothbrush, water/food bowls, and please keep in contact with the breeder even after you get your puppy sometimes they can save you a vet visit.
