I have also had a puppy that has been 8 weeks old and they are just fine.... I just needed to know. How Yorkies act as puppies but I guess this is not the right website for me to get good information.

Hobby breeders are not always reputable.
REPUTABLE breeders do not allow their pups to leave at 8 weeks. They also do genetic testing on their dogs and puppies.

Larger dogs may be able to leave their mom at 8-10 weeks, but smaller dogs really do need to stay until they're 12 weeks old. They need the time with mom, the extra weight they'll gain, and also they are learning a lot in those 4 weeks.
