Introducing Mike Hi,
I adopted a little yorkie about 1 month and a week ago, he was 8 weeks went I took him home.
I am a guy, and I was looking for a pet/friend I can share my life...I suppose that being a guy I was supposed to look for another breed perhaps an english bulldog or a pug, but there is something about Yorkies that I couldn't resist adopting this little guy.
He is really smart and has a great personality, sometimes he want to run the show his way, so I have to be a little more firm with him, but once he gets that he is not the boss around the house, he is a great Yorkie. He was housebroken in less than two weeks, and for the month and days he's been with me, he already learned his Stay, Sit, Down commands, and he is progressing really fast with his Roll Over command currently. I try to keep his mind busy and he loves it.
He is extremely active and a little hyper and he eats a lot for his size. I am watching how he responds to the quantity of food I provide now, because once he ate so much that his tummy was hard and he would have pain if I lift him, I had to wait until he went to the bathroom before I could pick him up, he was running and jumping all over the place after he released all that food he ate.
Well, I will be lurking around the forum to learn how to properly take care of my buddy, seems that there is a lot of info to absorb around here.
Just a couple of pictures of him......
First pictures is Him the first week I got him.... 8 weeks old and weighting .95 lbs.
Second pictures is Him this weekend after his first bath ..... 3 months and days old and weighting 1.3 lbs.
