My Marcel is a hiker too, and can get pee on him. What you have to do is experiment with the length of his pee string (the hair that is on the penis and extends from it, forward). Some dogs do better w/ very, very short pee strings - others do much better w/ long pee strings. Try different lengths and see how it goes.
