I was given some wonderful advice on here for my Anna. She is a fearful dog also and had a very rough first six years. Hopefully a few of the ladies who gave me advice will offer you suggestions. But one thing that is very important for fearful dogs is for them to become more confident. Training him to do some tricks such as sit, come, etc. will help with this. The one thing that Anna taught me is that it is not enough to just love them. Trust me, if that were true, she would have been "cured" long ago. They need to feel secure with themselves. Good luck with Benji.
