Awww, what a sweet story...I'm so sorry you lost your little one, but I'm so happy you took Benji into your home and heart
. Benji will heal with time and trust and love...you will get him there. As far as the shivering, do you actually think he's cold maybe? Some yorkies get quite cold at certain times of the year and may have to wear little sweaters or something.
As far as the healing part of it, I'm hoping some of our rescue folks to chime in as they are the experts in this area.
