Has anybody discussed with you the grooming costs? Even if you don't get haircuts often you still need to have his nails clipped and his "sanitary" areas kept clean. Grooming costs me $44 plus tip (less any coupon I might be lucky to have). Since we keep her short she goes every 7 weeks and thats stretching it. It you don't keep it short then you HAVE to brush often. If you aren't committed then work really hard to find it's owner.
Vet costs are additional and you should find out what they will run you.
I only mention this because your wife seems afraid of the cost. You also need to have him NEUTERED. Our animal shelter does it much cheaper than a private vet. You can use them for shots as well once he's had a good check up. |
