Joann's sell PUL, which is used for bibs, cloth diaper covers and baby changing pads.
I have some but it doesn't seem to be the same fabric used on the back if the washable pads I have purchased from Cathy and from petsmart and petco.
I would like to make my own (especially since we are adding a puppy to the family, possibly 2 if I can't find a home for Lark) because they do run on the expensive side, but haven't tried and haven't been able to find an adequate pattern or instructions online.
I have noticed that unless I launder them twice they still have a smell to them. I've started putting them outside in the sun to dry but it's icy here today so they're going into the dryer.
