First, I'd kinda wonder if something is wrong w/ that Wellness food - so make sure you save the part of the bag that has the lot number and date etcetera, just in case. I'd be tempted to stop feeding from that bag. Did the symptoms happen on this same bag of Wellness that you were feeding for 3wks or did it happen when you started a new bag?
Also, bc they're both having the same symtpoms, you have to wonder about giardia. Have they been exposed to any outside standing water? If so, were they tested for Giardia in their fecals? Giardia can hide under microscope, so it sometimes takes several samples to actually find the bug under scope. Did the vet mention giardia at all?
I'd also wonder about just a simple GI bug - again, since they both had the symptoms. |
Hi thanks for responding. The Wellness food all came from the same bag. I don't think they could have gotten into any standing water. He did do fecals but didn't mention anything about Giardia. Rainey's poop is all back to normal now and I haven't seen any blood in hers. I will diffently keep that bag . Rainey has tolerated going back on the wellness so far. I'm just so worried about Gracie. She seems to be acting fine but I worry about her not eating and I have to go to work tomorrow. I do have a drop cam so I can keep an eye on her.
