While I tend to lean more towards modern medicine than holistic, I absolutely agree that vaccines are a huge problem in veterinary care. That's not say they shouldn't be given at all (quite the contrary).

AAHA protocol is 'decent' (better than every year), but I still think every 3 years for any vaccine is wayyy too often when there have been many studies done to prove they often last the lifetime of the dog. I only do rabies every 3 years due to the law. Which I hope can change. Slowly but surely, some vets are changing to every 5 years, but it's going to be a process.

I will not be getting Jackson (5 years old) vaccinated anymore, more than likely. He had DHLPP as a pup (and a terrible reaction to lepto) at 8, 12 and 16 weeks. Then the rabies. Again DHPP at one year and rabies. Then he had rabies again at 4yrs old. Bordatella a few times in between (which I've always been soo unhappy with, 99% sure will never get this again). Now he is set for life, IMO (minus rabies, required by law).
