I had a comfort harness before I had a buddy belt. The comfort harness was cloth and I think it will wear out much quicker than the buddy belt will.
~In the rain, I'd rather have the leather buddy belt than the cloth comfort harness bc it takes longer for the comfort harness to dry.

One of the things I really love about the buddy belt is that it really holds my dog in. I can pick my dog up with his leash by his buddy belt if another dog is coming and it doesn't hurt him. If I tried to do this with the other harness, my dog would slip out of it or it would hurt him. I've actually picked my little guy up about a foot off the ground and swung him around....not intentionally, but I swung him away from another dog. Thank goodness he had the buddy belt on. There are lots of people that have had similar stories.
There are lots of great reasons to by a BB~the various colors, because its a quality prodct that lasts forever...but what I really like is the fact that it securely holds my dog in.
