Do y'all let your water drip when it is getting that dad gm cold???? Down here, we turn on the heat (not me until it gets in the 40's in the house!! I LOVE a cold house!) and open the cabinet doors like some one mentioned above, but we also let our water drip inside the house, in at least 3 different sinks/tubs, if it is going to be below 30* for over 6 hours, and if it is down into the 20's, water trickles! It is a lot cheaper than repairing frozen pipes/dfamaged home/damaged furniture, etc!!! We are having a wonderful, wonderful winter this year....actually getting some cold weather....maybe it will kill off fleas, ticks, etc...last year, we had ONE DAY where it reached 30*, so this year is a blessing!!! Now, my brother up in Paris Texas, is having problems with ice and snow, and broken tree linbs, etc......that is where I am supposed to be relocating....perhaps am rethinking moving that far north, since he goes 3-7 days without electricity when winter is harsh up there.....at least nothing in his fridge or freezer spoils!
