OMGoodness, here in Pa. last night evening temp was zero degs. with a wind chill factor of 15 to 21 degs BELOW ZERO, I feared frozen pipes, I left heat on for 70 degs, opened all cabinet doors so heat would could get in keep pipes warm. This winter has been UNBELIEVEABLE. I have been with out the use of water for several days in the past. I always keep 7.. 2 1/2 gals of water for "just in case" sooo very sorry you have this prob. hope your son-in-law can get it fixed ASAP.
