All but my Piper came from the rescue I work. Technically they cost nothing. They are the most expensive "free" pets I have ever had, even if you deduct the initial medical issues I had to address. Are they worth it? You bet. Every penny, and I would do it again. I'm not rich by any means but am lucky enough to.have a secure well paying job. I love the frou frou bling which cost money but realilize that as soon as it rains my freshly groomed puppy is going to play in the mud. You can have both. It is just like children as many have sqid. I waited until I was in a secure financial place to have a baby and haf financial back up plans. The same with my furbabies
