I am glad momma is eating well now. The main thing is to just slowly give the pups more room and start leaving them out some food and water. My mommas love the ground up dry food so they usually munch on it too.

Also when my pups are about 4 1/2 to 5 weeks old I will take small amount of canned puppy food and mix it well with the ground up dry food and I put it in their pen a couple times a day. There are lots of ways to wean so you have to just pick a method that works best for you and your pups. It can get really messy, especially with a big litter.

I let the momma decided when to wean them. Most of my mommas will let their pups nurse until they are 10 to 12 weeks old.
