Side note, we raised a baby racoon nearly every summer, growing up due to my fathers work. We'd bottle feed them & keep them in a cage until they were big enough to take care of themselves. Then we'd leave the door to the cage open and they'd come and go all throughout the summer. Our dogs always loved playing with them. By fall, they'd be mature enough to go out on their own and we wouldn't see them any more.
