One of our own YT members from right here in Ohio, Donnainohio63/ Donna has recently opened her own independent rescue and is in the process of getting the proper paperwork to become a non profit organization. She has recently been features in her local news paper
The Morning Journal to try and spread the word about her rescue and the work that she is doing. She finds these pups who are in need of rescuing form a variety of places in and around her home town of Lorain, Ohio. Currently she has had 14 successful placing's of both Yorkies and other small breed dogs. While that is no small task, she has managed to do so. She is now waiting to find the next pup or pups in need of rescuing while waiting to find their own loving forever homes.
When I found out about Donna's work and what she is doing to provide a safe place, vetting and a loving secure home for these pups I jumped at the chance to help her. The only way I knew how was to offer to design, build and help maintain a web site for her. Providing a venue/link where anyone who is interested in rescuing can see those pups that are available for adoption and fill out the adoption application is key to any rescue group. On the web site you can also find information on the locations fo the rescue, success stories, contact information and making a donation directly to the veterinarian
4 Paws Clinic who she has partnered with to provide the vet care needs for these pups while in her care. Each pup is vetted, spayed or neutered before placing them in their new forever homes.
It is an honor to be able to help share her mission in any way that I can and to help out a local Ohio rescue was a wonderful feeling. I can not speak on the daily chores and struggles of providing a safe and loving home for these pups I can only imagine how very gratifying and so very much worth every ounce of effort that she puts into the daily operations of your rescue is !! So, Please take a moment to visit
The Little Yorkie Rescue website and view the success stories. See the faces of those people who chose to save a life of a pup in need of a loving home. See the faces of those sweet adorable pups who found their Forever Homes and if at all possible please share Donna's mission on your own social network pages. Every person who sees it can be a potential new Forever Family, Foster or make a much needed Donation toward vetting.
