If the carpet is plushy, IDT you'll have a problem w/it. @ our old house, we had berber carpet & it's loopy, can get their nails caught on there. But they ran around like cwazzie & nothing happened. Momo did lose his dewclaw from playing w/his ball, he would roll it under the couch (which had a bed) & paw it around. Somehow it got caught & he ripped it out.
Never found the nail, so have no idea if it got caught on the fabric of the couch or the berber carpet.
Now we have only the leather couch & laminate wood flooring.
How about wrapping Toto up in a towel when clipping his nails...that's what I have do to w/Momo & Princess. It keeps them from me hurting them.
