I figure $7.00 more a month is not that much considering what 20% out of pocket for some high cost procedure could be. The only thing is, specialists areonly 80% unless it's a result of an emergency that would cause the need to go to the after hours vet. Not to open a can of worms, but LOL I will, the guy told me because Lola is a yorkie mix she is a little cheaper to insure since they see less inherited health issues with mixes than with the purebreds.
I noticed the mix being cheaper as well. I'm not sure what to do about Magnus. I wasn't there when he was purchased and I have no idea what his parents look like. The only thing I had to go by was the seller's word which I don't really have a lot of faith in. She assured my mom that Magnus wasn't going to be bigger than 6 lbs. I do have him down as a purebred yorkie on his license and banfield just b/c that was easiest.

I'm in the same boat as you on putting this off. But I haven't bite the bullet yet. Their comprehensive exam will be due somewhere around June so I think I'll purchase the insurance right around that time. I picked which plan I wanted and have it saved in the cart so when the time comes, I just need to purchase.
