Lola is three and so far healthy as an ox but who knows what's down the pike, this thread got me to do what I have been putting off for a year or two. I just bit the bullet and bought insurance through Pet Plan. I got the $100.00 deductible per condition and 100% coverage, it's about $40.00 a month. I figure $7.00 more a month is not that much considering what 20% out of pocket for some high cost procedure could be. The only thing is, specialists areonly 80% unless it's a result of an emergency that would cause the need to go to the after hours vet. Not to open a can of worms, but LOL I will, the guy told me because Lola is a yorkie mix she is a little cheaper to insure since they see less inherited health issues with mixes than with the purebreds.
