I suggest two books to all my new puppy owners....everyone should read these books BEFORE getting a Yorkie, so you will know what you are getting into. "Yorkies for Dummies" is the first book...."Yorkshire Terriers: A Smart Owners Guide" is the second book....These two books will cover 98% of the issues you are going to be addressing with your new baby....they should be in everyones library for immediate reference. Please do not send your pup away....yet one more traumatic issue for her to overcome. You need to learn how to properly housebreak your Yorkie....they are stubborn, but when they finally LET you win this potty training thing, you will have a wonderful, devoted pup. As was suggested, you need to invest in ee pads for the house, until you can get her accustomed to pooing outside! You can get her used to using the pee pads inside, then put the pad she pooed on, outside and she will be drawn to it....Give this little soul a fighting chance to be a good girl and to try to win a place in your heart.....she is trying....she is just confused and insecure and trying to make someone happy.....you need to pull out all the stops, get some patience, and allow this little soul win you over......she is trying.....you need to give her a lot longer than a week to "get over her past history and start following rules around your place or you are outta here!"

Aside from this poster, like they said, you HAVE NO IDEA WHAT HER PAST HISTORY WAS, it takes time for a rescue to TRUST YOU, you CANNOT THINK ONE WEEK IS MORE THEN ENOUGH TIME FOR THIS RESCUE TO LEARN, get the books that was suggested, things don't happen in a day, time and patience, PATIENCE is a MUST. You have rescued a beautiful lil girl and this I THANK YOU FOR, PLEASE do not get frustrated and even THINK of bringing her back, rehoming several times will make this poor lil girl so un-trustful of ppl. The above poster has given excellent advise on the wee wee pads, if the cost of the pads are to expensive then news paper will do just as well (that's what was used before some genus invented plastic backed pads). PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE do not send her back, do not "kick her to the curb" give this lil girl a chance, yorkies, terriers in general (yorkie is a terrier breed) , are harder to train due to short concentration span, but are trainable, you just need to be PATIENT, what you will end up with is a beautiful lil frisky clown, one that you will adore. She is confused, she does not yet know you, remember, she came from ???? was subjected to ?????? was rehomed????? she needs time to gain trust in you, PLEASE, give her this time. Show her you love her, be firm but NOT HARSH with her. I am BEGGING you to be PATIENT, it WLL HAPPEN. Buy the books, and PLEASE keep us updated as to her progress, and please remember:::: where did she come from ???? was subjected to ?????? was rehomed????? give her that "FOREVER HOME" Give her time to know you, you are just another STRANGER to her, give her time to gain trust in you. PLEASE
