I have had 3 yorkies, I am on my 4th (adopted 3 mos. ago) yorkies are TALKERS, when they want something they will whine, bark, whimper, what ever it takes to get them what they want, they are relentless until they get what it is they are looking for. My new boy came to extremely spoiled. He DEMANDS 1000% of my attention, the only time he is quite is when he is sleeping lol, feed him, let him out, change the water, still she whines, whimpers, all for attention. I LOVE the breed because they let you know what they want, but, I must say, this lil can be annoying when I am on the phone with a business call, I have to LOCK myself in another room to talk on phone lol, jealous because my eyes are NOT ON HIM lol, I cannot even watch TV without having him in my, whining, whimpering, growling, lol, I love it (except when on the phone) to me its the breed, not the dog. But check with your vet and read, read, read about the breed. Before computers were a must have house hold item, I purchased many, many books on the breed, and that is what I read. They are talkers.
