I have boarded Sophie twice at my vet. Once at 7 1/2 months for a week and at 11 1/2 months for 12 days.
I was the hardest thing we ever did. My vet does let her out and she gets to play with the staff. We pay extra for walks weather permitting and they send me pictures of her. I talk to them every day while away. We checked out daycares and private professionals however, we never felt like we could trust anyone completely. At least if something goes wrong i.e. she will not eat they feed her EN Gastro and all is well. I do not worry about her breaking a leg while there as she loves to jump.
I have had the same vet for over 30 years and is the only one I would trust with Sophie.
I know Sophie was very happy there as when we picked her up the last time we got all the happy kisses and excitement. Next thing I see is Sophie running behind the reception desk to play with the staff and then back to the back of the building where her kennel was. And here we were having the separation anxiety

I can honestly say I believe her stays there have made her a more confident girl. No separation anxiety. No bad habit changes. If anything she is even more sweet, more independent and more loving than ever.
