Max was neutered at 6 months, Teddy between 7 -8 months. Neither marks in the house. I brought Max home at 13 weeks and he instantly took to the piddle pads. Teddy was 8 months when I brought him home and 100% outdoor trained.
Although Max was a leg lifter from the start, we have had no problems with potty training.
I don't believe one gender is easier than the other.
I would choose based on which breeder you trust.
