I use the bracelet bands too, I twist them twice (3 loops around her hair) on normal days and twist it 3x (4 loops) on days when I use a bow.
It stays in for 24 hours, but it's pretty messy after about 12. Her hair is too long to leave it totally down.
I like them because little hairs don't get tangled around the band nearly as often and I don't have to make the band as tight.
