ZoE is pad trained. For us it is best. I work multiple jobs and my schedule can be erratic. I don't expect myself to leave for work in the morning, and not use the bathroom at all, all day long, until I get home in the evening, and I don't expect ZoE to either. Personally, I think it's cruel to force a dog to hold it all day. Having the pads available to her whenever she needs them, just makes sense.

Pad training also makes traveling easy. I've put a pad down in bathrooms, my kid's dorm room & apartment, and even in the open trunk of my car, and ZoE will go on it.

And living in Michigan, with the horrendously snowy winters, I can't imagine using anything else. There is three feet of snow outside my back door right now and the temps have been below zero many days of the past few months. Who wants to be outside in that?
