The vet can do it. I asked at Bailey's vet appt yesterday and my vet said they normally release them while they are pooping, but sometimes they get backed up. I asked how to do it, just in case & she said she doesn't recommend me trying to do it, because you can rupture them, I guess. So call your vet & ask
