The move is this Saturday, so I am sure it's going to be stressful for Koko and myself. I ended up getting a mesh type muzzle, and he's done well with it. First, I let him smell it and carry it around then gradually put it on him without it buckled in place. He pulled it off of course, then the next few times I buckled it and he seemed okay, but it was only for a few short minutes. i've been doing this every night with him so that he gets use to it before I actually take him outside, which will probably be a few weeks anyway.
I think maybe the key here is gradually introducing him. I like the idea about others offering him treats, he's very food motivated! I'll keep you all posted! Thanks everyone! |
