Since the bad area is currently confined to the one area or so the pathologist thinks, I was sort of thinking it could spread in a few more days or weeks perhaps if it's not removed. Who knows whether a stray cell is out there now floating in the bloodstream ready to take hold in a lymph gland and replicate? That's what I'm worried about. I am thinking about getting a second opinion but wonder if some spreading of bad cells might not happen within the time it would take to do that.

Do you mind my asking if your doctor recommended radiation or gave you a choice?
