I use pre-quilted & cotton fabric or flannel & cotton fabric. The pre-quilted is good for larger accidents and the flannel is nice and lightweight but still does the job.

* Measure around the widest part of his hind quarters, near his ribs.
* Measure the length from hind leg to front of rib cage.
* Cut both pieces of material the full width and length adding for seam allowance and the width of what ever Velcro you are using (1/2 or 2')

Example: So if he is 6" around and the length between his leg and ribs is 4" and you are using 2" Velcro you would cut the material (8.5 X 4.5)

* Sew the two pieces of material together right sides facing.
* Sew three side together leaving a 3" opening to turn right sides out.
* Turn and than Iron a hem line and sew the opening together.
* Add Velcro and there you go !
