I really don't comprehend people saying they won't protect their pups due to "insecticides"....what do you think will happen if they get heartworms? Have you thought that out? The treatment would be against your beliefs...so your pup, if it had them, would simply suffer and die?

Personally, I know you are passionate about your beliefs but there are many who have lost dogs to cancer which is not a great way to die either. Many of us belief that the use of these pesticides may be contributing to this and feel just as passionately. If I lived where you lived, I might feel differently but where I live, I choose not to treat year round because the chances of my dogs getting heart worm in the winter here is nil. I don't believe the heart worm meds come with no cost to the dogs immune system. It is a pesticide after all. I understand that you are passionate and that passion comes from your love but please also understand that those that disagree also are passionate and our passion comes from love as well. It's not about the cost of the meds and it doesn't mean we don't care if our pets die. I guess we just have different opinions and ultimately, I think it's a good thing to research, discuss and come to our own decisions.
