I have a feeling the baby will contribute much more to the story in the future. And to do so, she'll have to stay alive. Well... I guess she already started to contribute as that disturbing scene showed the beginning of Lizzie's dark side. Seriously, she looks like she'll grow up to be the female version of the governor.
