Ricky's got a messy topknot and he hates me messing with it. He hides under the coffee table or in his dog house if he sees me going for the brush. I just started using scrunchies and those are wonderful though...much easier to use than the rubber bands. I did buy some doggie hair gel and it helps a little when I use it.
I went to a dog show last month, hoping beyond hope that I could find a show breeder who would show me how to put a top knot in, but I ended up missing everything but the puppy class with one entry in it and her pup didn't have the traditional topknot because the hair was too short.
