I also had laproscopic surgery 5 years ago. My family would not stop laughing at me because I was burping and farting in my sleep after the surgery! I couldn't help it!
Anyway, one thing that I experienced was a sore throat from the tubes. I coughed alot and my throat was itchy. Keep a pillow close by to put over your tummy when you have to cough and drink plenty of fluids.
I have no scars at all from the surgery! It's amazing!
I was up after 1 day, walking around again and back to work after 7 days. I took 7 days off of work because at the time I worked a very fast paced job and I was running up and down stairs at work all day.
