I am in University for Illustration (for those of you who don't know what it is, a big part of it is realistic drawing and painting) and boy do you ever have to develop a tough outer shell. I learnt that pretty quick.
I agree with your posts.
Practice, practice, practice that's all i can say.
Drawing isn't something you can't just pick up one day and master, a person has to be talented in that area and then devote a lot of time into mastering it and coming up with their own style.
