The only thing that helps the gas problem is getting rid of it, and applying a heating pad helps a little. Rolling from side to side periodically will help and holding a pillow on your stomach until you can move without aching will help tremendously with support. I was out for most anything for about 4 to 5 days. I could walk and go potty, but nothing much over walking around the house. Nothing outside the house. Make sure to take sweatpants that aren't too tight.
