When someone comes home or over he gets so excited. He waits for them to sit down then he goes crazy jumping and doing anything he can to face lick. Is this caused by all the kisses my Fiance gives him when she gets home? Cause he wont stop until he kisses everyone that walks through the door.

When we first brought him home he tried to pull up the carpet where is separates to the tile in the kitchen. So I bought a cheap rug to lay down on the split. Well he continues to chew it and shred it. We continually tell him no and put him up any time he chews on it. We have new furniture with a new rug coming and I don't want the new rug destroyed. How can we keep him from chewing on the rug?

He listens pretty well and he knows sit, stay, come, stand, down, ball, bone, treat, kiss. And NO! but chooses to ignore that one a-lot.

sounds like teething, get him some nylabone chew toys and just don't allow him to jump up and lick faces, you are in charge, be persistent
